Although nail polish remover is very convenient and practical to remove nail polish, it is not always an option. If at that time you do not have any at home or your skin reacts negatively to your contact, you can opt for effective homemade solutions to remove the enamel.
Toothpaste
Traditional toothpastes contain abrasive ingredients that promote the cleaning of teeth and also work to remove nail polish.
How to apply : apply a small drop of toothpaste on the enamel and, with a piece of cotton, rub the nail from the half moon towards the edge. Repeat this procedure as many times as necessary until total removal is achieved. As an alternative you can also use a toothbrush to rub the nail and then clean the diluted enamel and paste with cotton.
Spray (lacquer, deodorant, body spray)
Even if their formulas do not contain alcohol, sprays such as lacquer, deodorant or body spray have properties that act on the enamel, breaking it and facilitating its removal. Its effect is not as immediate as in the case of toothpaste, so it needs several applications.
How to use: apply the spray on the enamel. When you do, try to get as close as possible to the nails without risking burns from the cold. Next, rub the nails with a piece of cotton swab. Repeat the process until the total removal. Finish by soaking the nails in water for 2 to 3 minutes to remove any traces of the spray from them.
Top Coat
this immediately begins a bonding process to the enamel. At that time, the enamel becomes more liquid and diluted, being more easily removed. Since most top coat provides fast drying, this period of time is quite short, so you should remove the nail polish immediately after applying it.
How to use: apply the top coat on the enamel and then rub the nail using a cotton swab or pad. Repeat if necessary. It is recommended to make each nail at the same time by the quick drying effect of the top coat. Do not use a piece of conventional cotton because the enamel will remain thick and sticky and some threads may get trapped.
Lemon and vinegar
Lemon and vinegar are both acidic and excellent homemade products to clean naturally and avoid chemicals. Its power can also be applied to remove nail polish, creating a homemade nail polish remover that you can even bottle to use the following times.
How to apply: mix a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and a tablespoon of white vinegar very well. Soak the nails in warm water for 10 to 15 minutes and then apply the preparation on the enamel using a cotton swab. Rub gently until the enamel is completely removed. Change the swab when it is saturated. Do not throw away the enamel when it starts to loosen or you can damage the natural nail.
